WHO WE ARE

The House Staff Spouse Association is a non-profit organization sustained by Cleveland Clinic Foundation. We provide support and a community for the spouses and families of the residents and fellows at Cleveland Clinic.  We know these training years can often be unique and particularly difficult experiences for medical families and we hope that you’ll find a sense of empathetic community within our group.

WHAT WE DO

The HSSA plans events each month to provide opportunities for our members, their significant others and children to socialize with other members and explore the Cleveland metropolitan area. Additionally, The mission of Cleveland Clinic HSSA includes supporting in-patients at Cleveland Clinic’s Children’s Hospital. We do this in a few different ways:

  • Most months, we compile pediatric craft kits to deliver to the pediatric in-patients. These service meetings require no creativity, just the willingness to donate some of your time. We frequently meet at coffee shops or ice cream parlors, so you can enjoy a complimentary treat while helping us with our commitment to Children’s Hospital.
  • Several times a year, we conduct donation drives for books, toys and school supplies. These donations are delivered straight to Children’s Hospital for the inpatients.
