So why should you join HSSA besides an awesome community of people and families who know exactly what you’re going through? Well, one of our favorite benefits of HSSA are the amazing events we get to attend with them. HSSA officers plan and host several events throughout each month. Some events are free, some are paid (but heavily discounted). Some are adult only, some are members only, and some events are fun outings for the entire family. Take a look below and get an idea of what our activities entail each month.
ADULT SOCIALS
Every month, we have our adult-only time with evening outings to local restaurants and bars. We also attend sporting events and shows at Playhouse Square. This is a great time to relax, have fun, taste local flavor and meet new friends.
MONTHLY & PHILANTHROPY SOCIALS
Each month, we gather to welcome new members and visit with our current members. It is a great way to meet others in the HSSA family. Monthly Socials include a variety of activities, including family picnics in local parks, evenings out at ice cream parlors and coffee shops, and HSSA-only events at local restaurants and salons. Monthly Socials are sponsored by HSSA, so they are free, though we occasionally ask for donations for Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. Additionally, our monthly socials are sometimes combined with our pediatric service socials. These monthly socials are a great time to get together, enjoy food, drinks and company while contributing to our group’s mission of supporting CCF’s Children’s Hospital.
FAMILY FUN
We offer a variety of fun ways to explore all that Cleveland has to offer, including events at the different Metroparks, museums, kid-friendly theatrical performances, local swimming pools and so much more. These are great opportunities to get to know the area and make new friends!
Each month we get together for fun family-friendly outings. During the months of June-September, we have weekly outdoor playdates at different parks throughout the area. For the cooler months (October-May), there is a monthly indoor playgroup for ages birth-5. Children have the chance to socialize and play together while parents enjoy adult conversation.
Occasionally, we enjoy going as a big group to events like Cleveland Indians games. These are fun family days out that everyone enjoys. And why not go with your HSSA family?
